    I miss this show.

This is the first winter/spring since 2008 when I wasn't excited for a new season of Mad Men to come. I know in 2011 the show's future was uncertain, but at least there was still a possibility. This year, we know it isn't. It's weird.

That excitement has been replaced by curiosity about what happens in Juego de Tronos, I suppose.

I'm glad it bowed when it did and kept the quality high, but I haven't found a show I love as much since.

GOT is solid, but I'm not as invested in the characters because although they're well-drawn, we don't know them with the same depth and complexity as we do Don, Peggy, Joan, Roger, Pete and the gang.

I've been slowly getting the itch to rewatch the series. I have them all on blu-ray, which is very rare for me. The only other show I have the entire series on disc is Breaking Bad (I have most of Seinfeld on DVD, but not all of it).

Just started rewatching it yesterday. It's on Netflix, but I would love to have all of it on Blu-ray. Hoping to catch some tid bits I missed when I first watched it.

Certainly the best episode of the series and maybe the best episode of television in the last decade. Ozymandias (Breaking Bad) and International Assassin (The Leftovers) are the only things that compare (and possibly beat it).

    Re: Mad Men

I just finished a rewatch of the entire series a couple weeks ago. Watched it all over the course of 6 weeks or so. It's still a great show. I liked binge watching it like that because it really let me "live" inside that world for a while with few breaks. Lots of great episodes, but I think my favorite is the one where Peggy quits SCDP, "The Other Woman." The climax where Peggy tells Don that there is no price that can keep her under him was just perfectly acted. It connected personally for me because I was in a similar situation to Peggy earlier in my career. I didn't move to another job, but I had a very similar relationship with my first boss that I worked with for 10 years. Also, all the stuff with Joan and the Jaguar account that episode was perfectly written, especially the flash forward of Don telling her not to do it after she had already done it even though the audience didn't know it that point.
