Yeah, i could write something up, but I just agree with everyone else. It was an awesome weekend and had a great time, but ......... Spoon,Pig and Fool to Think aren't played at a two night stand where you've played them on tour and play upwards of 60 songs in two nights, come on! But for real, still had an awesome time haha

And I believe Fool to Think was cut from the set N1. I haven't seen the setlist, but a friend told me that. I've never seen Fool to Think and I thought that would be a given at a 2 nighter

It's like Dave just assumes all the Chicago fans are casual and don't want to hear some of the deeper cuts. They didn't play Spoon, Dreaming Tree, Halloween, Pig, IBYU, LLD, Melissa, Fool to Think, or Recently. I still had a great time at the shows, but it's definitely frustrating.

Then again, I remember in 2014 there was an audible JTR chant and Dave brushed it aside, so he must know there are people out here who want to hear some of the rarer songs. Really strange.

    I'm with you. Very frustrating.

But yeah, I'm blaming it on the venue. N1 I was 2nd row of 200s, and N2 was 2nd to last row of 100s. Between the two nights, I counted 4 people around me that were singing along to most songs. I guess a lot of the Chicago people just have money to blow on awesome tickets then not know most of the show. That venue just draws too much of the wrong crowd imo.

Still confused why they couldn't play Creek instead of that.

I screamed Fuck Yeah when the Stone came on and people looked at me like I was crazy. Then again afterward when he pulled out the small red guitar.

I get that not everyone is a hardcore DMB fan/nerd like some of us, and that's okay. But at Alpine or Creek in the 100s/pit, I don't think I would be getting the looks that I did. Lol

You are correct. It was in there between DDTW and Two Step.

It actually wouldn’t surprise me. I was at Holmdel a couple nights before and Dave didn’t tell a single story, which I though was unusual for a D&T show. Maybe he was saving them for the Chicago shows.

He seemed pretty quiet N1 I thought. Definitely talked more N2

Also, anyone else notice that he switched the tuning of his guitars? The sunburst was his primary guitar this weekend and the spruce one was tuned to drop d. (I think that's drop d- bartender, DDTW) That was pretty surprising to me, I think its been the other way around for a couple of years now.

Yes, I noticed he was using the sunburst guitar in standard tuning. You are correct, for the last couple summers he had primarily been using the sunburst guitar in drop d tuning.

I noticed that as well, but wasn't sure if that had been the case for the whole tour or not. N1 I thought he was opening with DDTW or Bartender when I saw the sunburst then it was LIOG, and I first thought, huh?

I dunno....going in I was concerned over what you are saying but that just wasn't our experience. My wife and I were talking after both nights how awesome the crowd was around us.
    N1 we were 2nd row 103. N2 5th row 104.

Everyone I talked to around us said they were active on either this forum or the FB Family. Everyone was signing, dancing.....it was a blast.

I was also shocked how many people around us were showing photos of themselves with Dave or someone else in the band at some past show. These were hardcore fans, at least in our immediate vicinity.

That doesn't surprise since you were right up by the stage. Shows when I have been in the pit or upclose I tend to talk to a lot of other hardcore fans.

But like you, I talked to a number of serious fans who knew all the songs, etc. I was 1st row of 200s N1 and 2nd row of 200s for N2. Of course there were some obnoxious people, but I thought the majority of people were being considerate.

Weird. That's kind of what I was expecting around me too since I was in the 2nd row of 200s N1 and second to last row of 100s N2. Maybe I just got unlucky with not many people around me. Oh well

I've been there at Alpine more than a few times. Surrounded by people who are there for the one "hit" song they like and the other 20+ are background noise...

There was a time I was happy with any pavilion seat at Alpine. Now I go for the pit or pay what I have to for up front seats just to avoid the chatter.

Oh excuse me.....I would actually like to hear Dave sing that quiet song you've never heard of.

I was right by you n2 as well. Were you the guy sitting most of the show? I was wondering if he/you? were sitting because he was so tall or if you just aren't a stander. My husband sat through most because he broke both of his feet last year & can't stand for long periods of time. We had a pretty good section of people there, no complaints from me!

I went with the tall guy. Met him online and bought a premium ticket from him. He was sitting because he was so tall. Super nice guy!

I plead ignorance and apologize if I missed this - but I couldn't find it.

Are there video downloads of the entire show here or on other sites (free or for purchase)?? Was at Chicago both nights and would love the videos from each night. Shows were amazing and Dave's tangents were cracking us up.

    Thank you!

I bought shirt/poster on the warehouse the day of N1 so I wouldn't have to wait in line at the venue. My account in the store says my order is still being processed so I contacted them and they said a couple items in my order were on backorder. Anyone who ordered a shirt/poster combo online receive theirs in the mail yet?

I ordered a poster before the show and still haven't received it. I emailed the Warehouse and they said they were still waiting for more from the vendor.

Finally got the shirt in the mail yesterday but still no poster. Pretty frustrating considering the show was almost 2 months ago. Anyone get their poster who ordered one from the warehouse before the show?
