If you like YHF and want to see them try a little weirder in the alt-rock direction, go with A Ghost Is Born.

If you like Summerteeth ... hmm ... maybe Sky Blue Sky? That's kind of a sleepy Summerteeth. I dunno that they really have another record as polished and poppy as Summerteeth.

I have Zaireeka on CD. I've always wanted to have a "Zaireeka party" and invite a bunch of people over to make the full experience happen. Also because I'd need other CD players to pull it off.

The most ridiculous thing I have on vinyl is probably the 7" of Milli Vanilli's Girl You Know it's True single. I've inherited collections from a lot of people — grandparents, father, co-workers — and that was in someone's stack of stuff.

The most ridiculous thing I actually paid for is probably Fleet Foxes' 12" single for Helplessness Blues and Grown Ocean. This isn't so ridiculous on its face, but it's unnecessary because I also have the Helplessness Blues LP, which has the same two songs on it.

Frank Ocean's Channel Orange, but because it's a fucking bootleg and sounds like shit. The record store eloquently called it an "import"

I took the bait like a chump

oh yeah. Set up a whole listening party at my place. Only had 2 other friends with turntables so I had to buy one from target just for the night and returned it the next day. Total nightmare getting it all going but once we finally got it right, it was actually really not that much fun
