I noticed when I was in the waiting room of the Doc's office that TWC News had their little loop bit going on announcing this show. Must of saw it a good eight times before I was called in.

Anybody here go to the Miranda Lambert concert last yr? Shot in the dark here but was hoping to get a beer list for the venue. I would imagine the usual suspects.

All the food/drink is done by food trucks so it could vary by show as to what's available.

If anyone knows how many and where the openings to the pit are located I'm curious.

Anyone have any idea how much a cab to/from the venue would be from the Syracuse Regional Transit Center? And about how long it would take?

15-25 bucks after tip and with no traffic it will take 10 mins. Two hours before the concert pry closer to 20-30 mins. Hour before hand could be closer to an hour depending on how they handle traffic, which there normal aren't any problems when the fair is in town.

I'm considering taking Megabus but the website doesn't book any further out than March. If a Wednesday in June is the same as March, it looks like I'd get there at 4pm and depart again at 12:25am. Not sure if that 12:25am is risky after the show. Can't beat $15 round trip though.

That's awesome....and provided the concert is over at 11-1130 you should be ok I would think. Then again a cab ride back could be a nightmare.

Based on the first one, as I expected there is obstructed view all over the outside sections
The entire outside sections and first/last few seats of the next sections in are outside the full viewing area of the stage

Was at Miranda concert. Beers were standard Canadians/Miller but there was also a beer truck with craft brews and some bud light margarita stations if memory serves. Food was a big party tent with arena type food: hot dogs, nachos, etc.

Great trail that goes through the Amp as part of the bigger lake trail. If you are in the area walk through it someday.

Ah thanks for the info....pictures are good too. Depending on how nice it is out I am going to try and get to the orange lots when they open. Half day of work wed and going in late the next day

Ya I guess it depends on how deep the musician is on the stage for that visibility but I see what you mean. I am really hoping ticket requests for this aren't too bad.

Totally with you on the half day! I think the key for parking is to get as far towards the Amp in the lot as possible, for quicker exit. Might mean springing for Premiere Parking.

I'm also definitely concerned about tailgating. They were pretty adamant that there would be no tailgating for Miranda and I didn't see any. However, if everyone is doing it can they really stop it? Hopefully it will be a Solo cup and you are fine situation.

I mean I don't mind a small walk, but ya I will be in the lots once they open with drinks.....if they tell me to pour it out that's fine....there will be a back up stash, and a back up to the back up stash.

I mean there shouldn't be too bad of traffic provided you are in the lots right around when gates open. So many ppl scramble to get there later. Billy Joel last yr was a crap shoot. We pre-gamed at Limerick and Kitties and made it in just as he took the stage.

It'd be nice if they let vendors set up along the walk to the amp. Make the walk a little more enjoyable. As far as afterward goes, I've just learned to keep some pastrami, a loaf of bread, and some Dijon in the cooler. Helps me go with the flow that much better. Otherwise, I'd be cussin' with spit flyin' all over the dashboard.

And I'll be going to 2-3 of them! Really hoping for Phish or Avett Brothers to swing through. Not a huge Phish fan but it would be fun. Avett Brothers are unbelievable live.

Jones is soooo big that I'd almost rather just spend a couple days and chill in Syracuse instead before heading to Philly. Live in Reno/Tahoe, First time in both places! Hotels booked JIC.

I've been hearing a lot about this joint lately, Artpark. I've never seen it, so I just googled some pics. Looks like it'd be a cool place to catch a show. They had some great acts their last summer. Don't know if I'd be able to make it to one this summer, but I'll definitely be in that neck of the woods in October. My man, Eddie Money is doing a show at the homecoming football game at the University of Buffalo.
