Poster people, if I buy a poster at an outside merch both, would it be a bad idea to leave it in the car during the show because of heat? Would that mess up the ink or whatnot?

Cool thanks. I always appreciate your poster knowledge Matthew. Just wanted to check as it sounds like it could be hot at Alpine.

When I fly back I'll probably be putting the prints in one tube that will go in my carry on. Do I need kraft paper between the prints, or again will it be ok just for a few hours?

If you can find some kraft paper, that would be ideal. But if you can't, you can roll the prints up together. I've done it when flying. They come to the venue from the artist in a box stacked on top of one another so bleeding isn't going to be of huge concern. The main thing you'll want to avoid is them sliding around in there and rubbing against one another. That could rub ink from the outer one onto the back of the inner one.

What I usually do is cut the poster tube down to where it's just big enough to house the posters and lid, then pack it tight in my suitcase.

Ok. Good idea. I am packing my tube I cut down when coming back from the Gorge that is about 20"... might cut another inch off so it will fit an 18" poster and the lids.

What are the odds DMB tours next summer with all the overseas shows they're doing? And what are the odds they start in Texas around the same dates they did this tour? Thanks!

They'll definitely tour next summer but I'd bet it will be reduced with a lot of two night stands going down to one.

I think they've realized that playing Texas in July is dumb, so I wouldn't be surprised to see us get May stops again.

it makes SO much more sense for dallas to go back to saturday. not just because that's where it belongs, but because it will draw 2-3K more people at least as well

That's because you're thinking about things from the band's perspective and not the venue's.

Considering how much venues have to pay DMB, they're probably not happy when the place is half full. I'm sure the Austin venue was stoked on the turnout they got.

dallas was 68% full, woodlands was 75%. not a huge difference at all. both embarrassing numbers.

Does the Woodlands really get that kind of draw? I do love the venue and it always clean and nice, but I only know that since its the venue closest to where I live.
