Re: Boston Red Sox

DFA seems to be a no brainer, but he's your righty OF bat should Ross get hurt again. I'd rather have Dmac in the lineup rather than jason repko.

but the kid has to be a mess mentally. He has a lot of himself to blame but then again the Sox shouldn't have let him call the shots.

They Joba'd the poor kid. He wanted to be a starter to make more money and he may have cost himself his career.

This can't be a serious post. Bard wasn't calling the shots at all. The sox wanted to make him a starting pitcher because they though he could be a dominant one for cheap. How is it bards fault that the organization told him to
Prepare to be a starter? It's not like bard said he wouldn't be a reliever.

Bard didn't seem like he was begging to stay in the pen at the start of the season also. Then bard got put back in the bullpen and told Bobby V he would not be agreeable to back to back appearances and still wants to be a starter. He sucks, gets set back to the minors to work on being a starter...and then calls the GM and says wait I change my mind I'll be a reliever again.

Both sides are at fault. but I think this would have played out much differently if Bard from day one when Pap left said I will step in and be the closer.

after bailey went down and bard didnt look like a cy young through his first 3 starts the media got on his case to be placed in the bullpen. it's not bard's decision at all. he was told by management that he would be a starter and after his first few starts he was told to continue to prepare to start.

this team might've found what they were looking for from bard in Morlaes. he's been a stud the last few starts.

sports hub starting to fade behind weei since may

Here's a breakdown of the individual day parts.

    Morning drive (6-10 a.m.)
Toucher and Rich, 98.5: Second place, 7.7 share
    Dennis and Callahan, WEEI:Third, 7.4

    Midday (10 a.m.-2 p.m.)
    Mut and Merloni, WEEI:Third, 7.2
Gresh and Zo, 98.5: Fourth, 6.5

    Afternoon drive (2 p.m.-6 p.m.)
Ordway and Holley, WEEI: Second, 7.7
Felger and Mazz, 98.5: Fourth, 6.6

    Evenings (7 p.m.-midnight)
Planet Mikey, Red Sox and Celtics broadcasts, WEEI: First, 11.6
The D.A. Show, Bruins broadcasts, 98.5: Eighth, 4.1

morning shows are neck and neck, but the big show is almost a point over felger and mazz. they were a couple points down last year.

It might also be worth noting the Felger and Mazz is on Comcast Sports Net so the decreased radio ratings might be due to more people watching on TV.
