I really don't listen to DMB any more or less than usual - usually stays pretty consistent, but those are some of the better lesser known albums/shows I've been listening to as well.
Great list. If you haven't been, sounds like you should check out NW String Summit in OR. Probably the best fest I've ever attended, and I don't think I'll miss it again. Those bottom three play multiple shows probably every year, and the artists just kind of hang out all weekend. As a drummer, I didn't think I'd like bluegrass all that much, but those are some of the most fun shows.

I don't really mind if they aren't new, as long as they're still touring. I'm always looking for more good live bands.

A few other artists I haven't seen mentioned much:

Infamous Stringdusters
Greyboy Allstars (Karl Denson's TU is cool, but these guys were amazing live)
Monophonics
Spafford (seem great live, but they haven't been up here yet)

I was just looking at the 2017 lineup and my jaw dropped - looks fantastic. This summer isn't going to work for me but its on my radar for sure.

I saw a show last month where Fruition opened for Greensky and it was amazing. I knew probably 5 total songs going into it and now am a huge fan. Greenskys cover of Time (Pink Floyd) and When Doves Cry (Prince) killed it.

I legit tried to get California Honeydrops to play at my wedding and it wasn't too unreasonable - just didn't work out.

I saw Crystal Garden with Boyd this past Friday in Providence. I think they are one of the better new bands I have seen in a long time. Admittedly, I don't get out as much to see new music as I used to, but I would definitely see them again. Good jammy funk. The lead singer mentioned that the sound was really good in the club. It would be great to get a copy of that show.

Boyd playing True Reflections at the end with them was a nice way to wrap it up.

I am honestly super surprised not one My Morning Jacket shout out (def not new but hell no one else is following that rule here). Just saw them do their One Big Holiday a few weeks before D&T in Mexico and they are still so damn good live. Revivalists are great, Moon Taxi is newer, Nathaniel Ratecliff is good.

Went to see Margo Price last night - like to add her to my list. Phenomenal artist. She's going to follow in the tracks of Sturgill Simpson & Jason Isbell.

They went to my alma mater. Seen them play dozens of house parties. Not really into that type of music anymore but glad they're doing well. Really cool guys too.

You should probably try to get out more and see other bands... They are borderline cringe worthy. IMO. I give Boyd props for sticking with and giving them a shot, but can't see them going anywhere.
