stumbling into this thread for the first time...

looking for some suggestions on something new to jump into. I'm on xbox, and have mostly been playing Destiny and a myriad of other games for the last year or so. I jumped in and out of Battlefield and the new Ghost Recon and neither one grabbed me long enough to spend any real time on.

anybody playing something new they just can't put down?

Horizon and Zelda would be the answer, but neither of those are for XB1.

Only thing Ive played on my XB1 in the last 6 months has been rocket league and NHL17.

Maybe the new resident evil for you? im not into horror games personally.

So glad we got a PS4 pro. Cant wait to get The Show, never have gotten to play it much.

Yeah I've been hearing a lot of good things about Horizon.. feel like I'm really missing out there.

Rocket League is a lot of fun but I get burned out on it after awhile.

I have honestly considered buying a PS just for MLB The Show. It's a crime there is no baseball on XB1

Edit: I did hear great things about Resident Evil from a buddy just completely forgot about it. Maybe i'll check it out

I don't have Xbox but Ori and the blind forest looked awesome if you haven't played it yet.

If XB doesnt release something worthwhile in the next year I might just sell my system. I dont play online with friends enough anymore and everything else is available on PS4.

I hear ya... Only reason I am still Xbox, aside from being on Xbox since the original, all of the friends I do play with are on Xbox.

But the Playstation exclusives are absolutely blowing Xbox out of the water as of late

Overwatch is one the best games I have ever played, I'd seriously give that one a try if you haven't yet. It never gets old, is consistently fun, easy for newcomers to get into and at the same time is appealing to hard core gamers.

Right. And Halo is actually what originally pushed me to the original XB. I am a Halo fan, but not crazy like some fans are. I have played them all but usually lay off them for a year at a time before picking up again.

Come to think of it, Halo is probably the sole thing keeping me from selling my XB

Halo 5 was great. Played the hell out of it the first 4 months it came out. But couldn't tell you the last time I touched it.

It's exactly what it is. Not sure uncharted would exist without tomb raider.

Don't you have a PS4 too? Last thing I need with Zelda, the show and horizon is an Xbox exclusive right now. It comes in cycles. When the 3 games I mentioned drop I probably won't touch my pro for a while. Also had no reason to buy a PS4 until I looked into horizon. That and the show are the only reason I bought one. If I owned a PS4 since launch it would have sat there for months while I played gears, ark and forza horizon 3.

That's gears of war for me. I actually can't get into halo at all. Online is a jump fest and I thought the halo 5 story sucked.

ROTT is a pretty amazing game. Sitting around a 90 I think on meta critic. I'm not sure changing up the franchise just because naughty dogs game is heavily influenced by it is the right move.

I sat down and beat halo 5 story in one sitting, and I'm not normally that guy. I got to the end and thought... wtf? that was it? I couldn't believe there wasn't more to it

Yeah definitely. That's why I didn't pick up uncharted when I grabbed a pro. I'm still not done ROTT either. Makes no sense to have both going at once.

I couldn't even tell you anything that happened during that story . I also beat it. It was enjoyable to play coop though. Just not amazing or anything.
