The group I work for deals mainly in making loans saleable after they are funded, I personally don’t ever deal with the borrowers but other people do. Once a loan is funded it gets run through a bunch of rules to see if they meet investor guidelines. If it doesn’t, it comes to me and I have to research whether or not the site that funded it fucked up or if there was just a discrepancy in information that came from an upstream system. It involves plowing through a bunch of different systems and seeing if everything is in line. Most of the other people in my group deal with collateral issues, mainly with the note, mortgages, TIL’s, POA’s, etc…..basically any document that has incorrect information and needs to be fixed.

I actually talked to the big manager within our department for like 20 minutes about this idea. For the area that I work within, I think this would be really good. I really should go apply at Best Buy, but I heard the pay isn't great and the benefits aren't even comparable to mine.

Sounds like a pretty cool job ... our department here that does that is called "secondary" and I've been thinking about switching into that. No good huh?

The job is fine, its the actual place that I work that sucks. They turned a warehouse in to a huge office full of cubicles.....no cafeteria, one bathroom for each sex, one vending machine and two pop machines. Its pretty subpar given the kind of money this company deals with.

We're being sold too which makes the moral on the floor so exciting ... everyone worried about their jobs, etc. It's almost an exact replica of Office Space ... we even have a guy almost exactly like Milton. It's hilarious

Who is buying Option One? I knew it was being discussed they were going to be sold, but didnt know to whom. Hopefully, you wont have to worry about losing your job.

No one has made an offer yet, we've just been making presentations the past couple of weeks. My job is secure, for now, luckily because I'm in the top 10% on the floor

our office is "british style" so there are no offices and everyone (from CEO to the intern) has the same size desk... but i am on the f'in walkway to the elevator, so people constantly see what I am doing... i had 5 people ask me about my fantasy football plans, like i care about their ideas for matchups.... i like my back to the wall thank you very much..

    Upper management needs to understand:

To keep a company alive and competitive, you need to constantly be looking to improve processes with creative, out-of-the-box thinking. Sticking with old policies and procedures will not work in the long haul

So I went in and was going to drop my notice yesterday because there are two opportunities that have already been offered to me and I wanted to check them out. As I sat down and told my boss I was planning on leaving, they decided they did not want me to leave and offered me a raise and a higher position. Pretty sweet stuff ... guess I'm sitcking. Its amazing what a little leverage from an outside source can get you, I wish I could do something like that to get my boss to stop underpaying me.

That’s some annoying shit right there, the baby thing is the worst. The little fuckin’ thing starts crying because its surrounded by so many people (all women, no guy gives a fuck enough to get up from his desk) but it would be taboo to bitch about it because it’s a baby and its what they do…..yet its at a place where people are trying to work. If I stood up on my desk and starting screaming because I have a headache I’d get fired, but the baby can come in and disrupt everyone because it’s cute. Fuckin’ weak
