Well, that was always the ironic thing, for as much as I liked a lot of Artie's tenure on the radio show, but pretty much every one of his actual stand up routines that I saw I found very mediocre.

Yes, the show ain't what it used to be. But Artie needs to get the fuck over it. It's too much already. Plus that entire rant was completely unfunny. I did not laugh once.

oh I completely agree. There's no question that what most of us use to regard as "the Howard Stern Show" is completely over and finished, and while I question many of this methods, I don't even necessarily blame Howard for wanting to morph his show into something different now that he's as old as he is. But at the end of the day, he's a grown man and it's not like any laws have been broken, those are the decisions he's made. It has absolutely nothing to do with Artie Lange, so for him to still be going on at the intensity he is is kinda baffling and, again, fairly pathetic.

wow, no posting about this? first of all, I only just found out that Joey Boots is dead, he died back in December. but apparently cause was only just discovered, he OD'd on heroin.

speaking of... Artie was arrested a couple days ago right outside his house with both coke and heroin on him. But he sent out tweets on the day, and claiming he'd still make booked stand up appearances he had for this weekend.

I'm not sure who is still listening, but the Wendy Williams interview was so good. Not because Wendy Williams is anything great....but because she seriously attacked Howard about how much he has changed. She said that he is now a star-fucker and one of the guys on her crew said that Beth was the Yoko Ono of the show.

only 2 years left huh, geez by then he's got to be ready to go. I mean the thing is, and I might've said this in here before, I actually don't really blame him for wanting to do a fundamental shifting of the show in terms of interviewing or doing some in studio bit with yet another pornstar or stripper. He's getting into his mid 60s now, it seems perfectly natural to want to "calm down", as it were. Focus more on proper interviewing. But the way he seems to have gone about the whole thing is shitty. Treating long time staff really poorly, just up and letting them go and disrespecting Gary so badly by having this new woman come in and he's immediately under her (if I understand the hierarchy correctly).

so just to follow up on this a little here, I saw on twitter either yesterday or maybe the day before, Stuttering John (who apparently has his own podcast now... who the fuck doesn't) was making fun of the Artie and Anthony join up, calling Artie a total hack and all this shit. And I guess John's been teasing for quite awhile that he's got some Stern tell-all he's writing? because several people replied about how it's never gonna happen tho he's talked about it for awhile, and John promised "soon".
but then of course Artie retweeted every single one of them that directly referenced him and warned he's going to keep doing it as long as John keeps slagging him off.


edit: well and though I don't have Sirius or truly follow the show daily, but going from the collection of official studio videos on youtube of the Jim Norton & Sam Roberts show, it's like what was the point of Sirius firing Anthony, cause it seems like they've had him come in as a guest for a whole hour or more an AWFUL lot

just happened to randomly be thinking a couple days ago, one of the unfortunate aspects of the whole Howard TV on demand crew being totally gone from the show now, I do wonder if Scott Depace would be a Trump voter. I mean Depace was pretty much infamously always the one staunch conservative on the whole main known-to-the-fans staff. I actually wouldn't really be all that surprised if he didn't really like him. He definitely wouldn't have voted for Hillary, he just wouldn't have voted at all.

Oh man, I completely disagree. I thought the conclave was awful. I would have rather had other whack packers in there judging. I thought the whole segment was horribly produced. It was a terrible miss for me.
