Nice. I've been on a jazz kick as of late, last couple jazz records I listened to were this one, 'Round About Midnight, and Milestones.

Anyone here a Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds fan?

I've heard many good things about them, but not super familiar. Im listening to Boatman's Call right now, which I am enjoying but so far its a lot of slow ballad type songs. Whats a good album for that salt of the Earth southern music from them?

Henry's Blues or Let Love In might kick a little harder for you? Most their stuff before Boatman's is a little punkier and rawer.

There's about a 10-year stretch after Murder Ballads where everything they did was slowed down, darker piano-based stuff, including Boatman's Call.

Any good? They're pretty consistent, but this seemed like a new direction for them based on some of the teaser tracks.

Not as good as 'They Want My Soul' but still very enjoyable. A grower for sure.

Picture of Nectar and Fuego are the closest they've come to capturing the energy of their live show on a record.
