I just got kind of sad. Depending on when they hit Phoenix next summer, I may miss it cause we may be moving to Portland. maybe they would hit that area before the Gorge. Guess I can always hope for D+T winter in PHX.

that is a bummer. at least you'll be closer to the gorge! i'm hoping for a D&T winter in Phx but i doubt it's gonna happen. if they're indeed doing Planet Hollywood in Vegas, i'll definitely be there

This is true. I don't expect to go next year, but I am hoping for the year after, 2011, since I will be only 4 hours from it.

The band seems to hit Portland about every once in a while but haven't hit there since 2003 for some reason. Bummer for sure. But the Gorge is a 4 1/2 hour drive and it is mecca...except for this year's shows.

I'm listening to the 08 show right now. Bartender is awesome when Dave changes the line to "when I was young I didn't think about it now I just want to...FUCKIN DIE!!!". This performance still gets me, what a crazy week for the band.

I was at that show because I use to live there and the show was good but disappointing. It was at the rose Garden, which was almost brand new at the time, and I can remember that some of the speakers cut out during the show. Also the crowd was only so so.

Being close to the gorge makes it all worth while plus you can't beat the summers in Portland! Highs of 80's and everyone waits for the rain to stop so they can be out and about in the summer!

I'll be there. Already got my tickets. Who else is thinking about going?? I went last year and they are just unreal to watch. I just have to find myself a date now.....in case i hadn't posted somewhere or told any of you, Brianna and I broke up back in November after nearly 4 years together. No worries though. I have faith!

Hey Thomas - sorry about the break-up. I'm sure you'll be just fine, though. I'll probably be there - but it'll most likely be solo. Can't get Marcia out of the house on a school night.

Hey - I was going to shoot you a text today just to see how you and the new job are doing. Hope you're enjoying it (well - as much as a job is enjoyable).

I disappeared for awhile - work was kicking my ass and stealing my enthusiasm for life. This week was a little better.

The new job is cool. Great company. Training is a little lame. Trying to keep interested as its alot geared for people that have never done this job before. Kinda like class 101, when I should be in class 301. But it is what it is and I will be making good money soon there after.

Oh - Marcia's never given me crap about going - just that she isn't going to go. As of right now - I'm leaning on showing up solo.

Just moving next weekend and just got the first paycheck. Still getting back on my feet. Wish it was a few weeks from now.

On a side note...if anyone has a lead on Alice and Chans tics for the 17th...I am totally interested. Looking for some good seats...and I will throw this out there that its my bday the 16th so I am looking for good time.

Question for those of you familiar with tonight's show. Will there be an 'opener?' - or does TR3 just go on at 7:00. Reason I ask is I found out last night I'm scheduled to do an interview with a local newspaper here at 6:30 tonight - so if TR3 goes on at 7:00 - I may be SOL.

    Thanks!

According the Tim's Site, TR3 doesn't hit the stage til 8...In years past, Marcus Eaton solo opened, and then Marcus Eaton Trio has opened. Nothing is listed, but doors are at 7. So I'm guessing there may be just a local person opening or something...

    Thanks!
Why were you being interviews by the local paper? And do you have a link for the story if it was published?

Too far to tell. Still trying to plan the summer. But sounds like a good time!

I didn't make it to this show, but it's pretty sad as an Arizona resident- today is three years to the day since the last DMB show in our state.
