Don't they usually do a VIP/Premium option with the open bar and meet and greet?

Warehouse is offering "premium ticket packages" for every show, which pretty much equates to "tickets behind the pit that would have gone to senior members but will now go to people willing to pay out the ass for a ticket."

For bigger shows usually, but that doesn't usually affect seating. This time it sounds like it will.

Great! What details can you provide about the Premium Tickets, or are you getting pissy about something you know nothing about?

It just mentions this is the press release so op just had to be the first to bitch about it, not knowing if it even effects warehouse seniority

not everyone was into the band way back when the warehouse was created or was even old enough. Its about time they give other fans a chance to be close. I was front row for 4 shows last year.r That made my summer perfect thanks to he GA pit.

I would bet the farm that it means they're going to be selling prime seats at premium prices. Do you really think it could mean anything else?

Ive been in the Warehouse for 12 years (been to 54 shows) and only have gotten true PIT seats twice.

It is not as if the most senior members are sitting up front for every show....believe me.

    Re: Premium Ticket Packages

Perhaps I read it wrong...but it looks like the premium plans would be offered to warehouse members only? Looks like it really won't impact seniority...

Members will be given the ability to select Best Available originating from various levels or can opt to be considered for one price level only. Travel Packages, Premium Ticket Packages, Warehouse Gorge Hotel rooms, Camping tickets for Gorge and Noblesville and Premier Parking tickets for select venues will be available to members this tour.

    Disagree,
Just be happy they changed it from all seniority when ALOT of people including myself a 21st day member did not renew. If people have showed loyalty for longer and paid longer they deserve to have better seats.

GA pitt is the reason i passed on going to a bunch of shows last year. I have no desire to sit in the pit through an opener that i dont care about. GA pitt is arguably the worst thing WH has done.

Yeah, too bad. I wish I joined the Ten Club when I was in third grade, but I completely respect the fact that those who've been dedicated Pearl Jam fans longer than I've been deserve to keep their status intact and benefit from their loyalty.

My point is that seniority does not guarantee anything. I am not going to complain as the WH for the most part has given me good seats over the past 12 years.

But, I have met many "newer" members who have gotten much better seats than very senior members on frequent occassions. That is simply not right.

It is not perfect and someone will always be upset...but seniority should mean something.

bingo, isnt that the point of "seniority" in a fan club. right now, what is (is there one) the ONE benefit seniority gets you?

edit: and if you can get pitt from TM, then why do i keep renewing? not bitching (sort of) just legitimately asking

People don't want to hear this, but it's absolutely true. The two biggest fallacies about seniority are that senior members were up front every single night, and that with the GA pit senior members would be right behind it in the center.

A certain number of "premium" seats (which I don't think can mean anything other than some of the best seats in the pavilion) will now go to people willing to pay insane prices and will be taken out of the seating assignment pool. How exactly will that not affect seniority?

so your saying that any fan who joined later on or wasn't old enough to actually join way back when but is a huge fan no or anything like that means that they don't deserve to be close to the stage ever. that just isn't fair at all.

My issue is that I fucking HATE GA pit, because I don't like being crammed in with a bunch of sweaty drunks and dumbass teenagers who feel it's perfect alright to push and shove their way in front of you, so I'd prefer a seat behind the pit, and now at least some portion of those seats will only go to those willing to pay much more than "face" value.

To put this in perspective, when Live Nation has offered "premium" or "VIP" seating in the past, they've cost in the range of $250 and up, per ticket.

No, that is not what I said at all. There are lotteries and random seat assignment, so newer members will get some opportunities.

But your damn straight a 12 year paying member should get more opportunities. And when I hear about 1st 2nd or 3rd year members getting PIT seats multiple times in a tour, when other senior members are getting declined or sitting in the balcony....that is backwards.

That is life. Go tell a Green Bay Packer season ticket holder that he needs to give his seats up to a newer fan. Get on the 30 year waiting list.

For now, I'm just going to assume that "Premium Tickets" = "VIP". Which they've been doing for quite a while, so I don't really see the big deal.

well most bands don't have a seniority list or whatever it is. Phish doesn't have anything like that.
