Re: Torrents 101: Downloading and Playing Them

I keep receiving a message stating that the site cannot be opened. I have downloaded bittorrent. Not sure what else is wrong.

Re: Torrents 101: Downloading and Playing Them

Hi! I am new to the world of torrents. I have a hundred+ shows via B&P (it's been a long time) and I am ready to finally get into the now and start using torrents. I have been working on this for 3 days and I have no clue what I'm doing...I'm not computer savvy. I downloaded bitorrent and have downloaded 3 shows...at least I think I have. I see the 3 shows in the "completed" folder but when I click on a show and push the play button the status goes to seeding and when I push the stop button the status goes to finished. I don't know what I need to do to actually hear the shows. I would also like to have the ability to burn a show here and there. Any help with what I am doing wrong is greatly appreciated. Thanks is advance!

Cheer!

melbev: the torrent application only downloads/shares the show - it doesn't handle playing the files. you have to open the show you've downloaded in a media player, such as VLC, and play the tracks from there.

Re: Torrents 101: Downloading and Playing Them

Thanks for the reply Matt! I am downloading VLC right now and will give that a whirl. I am going at this blindly. I have downloaded FLACer and am trying to convert it to WAV but I don't know what "output directory" to choose. I'm trying to get a couple shows downloaded and burned so I can surprise my sister for her birthday and so we can know the new songs before we head to the gorge. Thanks again for your reply!!
