If someone says they want a pop or a soda, I think coke/Pepsi/RC. If someone says they want a coke, I think Coca-Cola first but it's not uncommon to be offered a Pepsi or RC if there is no Coca-Cola. If you want something other than that, you need to specify a drink by name.
