I saw that the magazine reported the percentage of graduates entering employment upon graduation, but the criteria for undergrad students are the following:
- Graduation rate
- Polling from high school guidance counselors
- "Academic reputation", as rated by a poll of school presidents, provosts, and deans of admissions
- Freshman retention rate (in other words, the first year drop-out rate)
- Faculty financial resources
- Student selectivity
- Financial resources spent on students
- Graduation rate performance (the %-age of students graduating weighed against the magazine's projected graduation rate, as based on the Class of 2007's graduation rate)
- Alumni donation rate
