  1. Graduation rate
  2. Polling from high school guidance counselors

  4. Freshman retention rate (in other words, the first year drop-out rate)
  5. Faculty financial resources
  6. Student selectivity
  7. Financial resources spent on students
  8. Graduation rate performance (the %-age of students graduating weighed against the magazine's projected graduation rate, as based on the Class of 2007's graduation rate)
  9. Alumni donation rate
