Probably because he wants this blog to be his, not the band's. This is about his experience in the studio and telling us what happens from his point of view.
And so far from what I've seen and heard most people have been respectful about that and keeping the focus on him, which is the point.
I don't think he's being selfish, just keeping things from turning into him because a liason between the fans and the rest of the band.
