I especially connected with, and agreed, with his take on renewable energy and jobs in West Virginia, my home state. WV cannot get off the coal bandwagon despite its terrible poverty and economic despair that comes with it. Any politician that runs on the idea of renewable energy is always mocked and dismissed. Progress in the form of jobs, infrastructure, and quality of life will never take hold until the people change their antiquated ideas.

This is how I was leaning when I read it as well.
