Dude... the song's chorus is 4 of the most cheesy chords in music. The verse is a little better but not by much. This song is pop. I don't hate it like I do some stand up stuff, but Dive in has no potential to be a classic.
The jam at the ended is just a simple cheesy 4-chord progression (same as the chorus) with Boyd doing a solo that only has me interested because he was absent on the album. he hit like 6 total notes. I don't think you have listened to LIOG if you think dive in has a "liog-type jam".
