Easter 2012. Resurrection of The DMB via Steve Lillywhite Twitter

http://twitter.com/#!/sillywhite

Tonight Steve Lillywhite is on the record as saying the forthcoming dmb album is

a.) a return to the old sound with more Boyd
b.) his best work with dmb he also stated before these crowded streets was his previous favorite
c.) his favorite non released dmb song has never been heard by any fan
d.) that the album is almost complete

Biggest good news for DMB fans in a decade. Until proven otherwise, I'm going to assume that dmb's best album is being mastered by steve lillywhite.

dmb has risen

Perhaps Mr. Lillywhite's B.A.C. has risen instead.

He is not going to come out and say this is his 4th best effort with the band. Hopefully he is right though.

meh... he doesn't have to do any of this. he's getting paid no matter what. he's obviously a dmb fan and stoked for what he has done with them.

This. For fuck's sake.

How good anyone associated with the album says it is at this point is absolutely irrelevant.

His opinion on music and quality of stuff he didn't personally work on is absolutely relevant. His opinion on his own work, not so much.

Personally, I think the post I just wrote is one of the greatest posts in the history of Ants.

this wasn't some interview where he was forced to answer. this is a private twitter he chose to answer... he fielded teh question and answered it... I would agree with you if this was on some dmb website or an interview in rolling stones or something..

Steve produced a Blue October record. Think he said that one sucked?

Probably not. But it did. Bad.

yes, steve lillywhite's twitter is a private account. he does not have to answer anything on it. If a reporter ask you "is this their best album?" you are forced to answer because the question is public.

You people are ridiculous. what happened tonight is exactly what everyone on ants has wanted to see for 10 years.. why be debbie downer about it..

i've always thought that steve lillywhite made dmb.. I think his ideas on arrangements are central to the genius of their live music.. If dmb would not have produced their 2nd and 3rd albums with lillywhite, I don't think any of us would be here..

terrible argument. he produced one of their records. steve lillywhite produced three (4) albums with dmb that sold millions of records, won a grammy, and started the greatest live band in the history of the united states.

steve lillywhite knows dmb better than anyone..
