Red Rocks 2012!!!

It's time for DMB to return to Red Rocks. In the words of Jerry Maguire..."Who's coming with me?"

It was also a very, very slim chance that DMB would have played Red Rocks in 2005, BUT...they did...(4) nights in a row. I would say it's more likely they play Red Rocks on a tour without a new album to promote. Theory being...smaller venues without album; the larger venues when promoting new album.

Re: Red Rocks 2012!!!

It would be my ultimate concert bucketlist to see DMB at RR. I've seen around 15 shows there and all of my favorite artists headlining there except DMB. What a dream it would be...here's to 2012 for the return!!!

New material for 2012 at Red Rocks would be perfect. Seven year gaps. 1998 to 2005. 2005 to 2012. I've only missed three DMB shows at Red Rocks since they formed and this is the year, folks. DMB will play Red Rocks in August!!!!

If the dates are true, I'm definitely in for these shows. Anyone know what the camping situation around there is like?

I went in 2005, and it is up in the mountains, so I don't remember seeing any camping at all. I could be wrong though. Hell of a good time.

DIA is a hop, skip and jump from Red Rocks. No camping. Red Rocks is actually in the foothills of Lakewood/Golden area of Denver. It is not in the mountains. So grab a hotel room and enjoy. #ColoradoNative

Lots of hotels in Lakewood, Littleton and Denver.

It's 45 minutes from DIA, give or take and depending on traffic.

I always say that these posts are pipe dreams because people in Colorado are not talking about it. But people in the area (nothing in print, just conversations) are talking about it. This seems legit, guys. Let the search for tickets begin.

Just listened to Live at Red Rocks! Just made the anticipation of DMB Red Rocks dates 10x worse. Even if they made it official today, August COULD NOT get here fast enough.

This would be a definite yes for me! If this is true how hard would it be to get tickets through the Warehouse? Can't imagine it would be easy. Either way I would not miss it.

If this happens I will be there. First trip to the Gorge in 2011, then Red Rocks in 2012. What could be better?

Lets hope these rumors finally get some traction this year. Or my RR dmboner will have to subside for yet another year. With no Mile high music festival, and assuming dmb has a regular summer tour sched. I would take any outdoor venue in CO. Sports Authority Field (Former Invesco) would be the only other viable option since Coors Field does not have regularly scheduled big name concerts. I don't see Dave wanting to be crammed in the Pepsi Center on a beautiful Aug night so hell.............why not red rocks this year?

Dicks Sporting Goods Park is an option for an outdoor venue for Dave Matthews Band to play. More so than Sports Authority Field.

Just read on rumor 2012 thread that radio DJ in Boulder was teasing big concert announcement for Colorado, BUT also stated that it DIDN'T involve REd Rocks?!?! I hope this "announcement" actually doesn't involve DMB because I really, really, REALLY want to see DMB at Red Rocks.

He was talking about dmb. Said he'd gotten an email asking specifically about dmb at rr, and while he hadn't heard anything about rr he had heard about other stops for them here that would be great. (Not positive about the plural stops, but I think that he included the 's' in his statement.) But hey, everybody's wrong quite often, so here's hoping he just hasn't gotten the right info! I've been dreaming of them stopping at rr since we moved back to co. But hell, at this point I'd be happy with any love for co they want to give us...my husband is getting sick of dmb monopolizing all our summer vacay plans :)

if youre looking for nearby camping this is your place. its a short 5 minute drive to venue. some people actually walk it. we stayed there in 05 for 5 nights and had a good time. camping spaces dont have much shade at all so bring a canopy.
http://www.lakewood.org/comres/page....CreekLakePark/

another option 15 minutes south on c470

I'm sure I'm not the only one, but I did send him an email specifically asking him about DMB and RR.
