Lets blow this up people , have a heart a lot of you see two or more shows a year at your venue . Had two shows in five years , skipped every other year . Wish they would stop being so greedy just for one minute , and play the only decent venue in colorado Red Rocks .They made the most money this last decade of any performer . When I see Tim next week going to manipulate his thinking on this topic. Yes I know other venues are getting the shaft , I feel for you too.

Yeah, Red Rocks would be great, but I'm not going to be greedy either. How about a show in Colorado anywhere! I'd even be ok with the Pepsi Center.

Red Rocks. . . meh. Yeah yeah I know it's the greatest venue in the history of the universe. But I just want a show. Any show. I honestly don't even care if they play fiddlers with 2:30 pm curfew. I'm sick of only being able to fit one show into my schedule because there are certain days I can't take vacation for at work.

From the Denver Post:

I've heard rumblings that the Dave Matthews Band is coming to Denver this summer. So I asked AEG promoter Chuck Morris if maybe the band is headlining the Mile High Music Festival in August.

"I will not deny nor confirm that," Morris told me, sounding more like a "yes" than a "no."


So it looks like there will be a Denver date.

Said it in the rumors section as well. I find this hard to believe and I don't want to believe it because the festival SUCKS. There have been rumors of the headliners for the festival, so far DMB has not been one of them. Not saying I am right or wrong just what I have heard.

I would be happy with any venue in CO, as long as it means I would would get to see them in my own state again! Of course 3 or 4 days at red rocks would be at the top of my list and Mile High Music Fest at the bottom! We also have a newer stadium that the band has yet to play at....

Oh plus my little brother is dying to see DMB live since I turned him on to them a few years back... Hopefully it happens so he can actually experience the magic of a Dave show!

Oh please no MHMF. I beg you Dave.

MHMF is one of the best things musically to happen to Colorado in a long time. I love it overall. It brings so many bands to Denver that I love, and many bands that I am happy to see that I wouldn't normally get to see live. The problem is for the true DMB fan. We all want to see DMB in CO at all costs, but we hate having to fight with 50,000 people who don't know a thing about DMB to get a good spot to see the show.

Please DMB, skip MHMF and play anywhere else. Even the Pepsi Center.

There is a reason we were not announced and it is MHMF, bloody F'N hell. They can't announce that they will be at a festival before the festival announces it. Stupid F'n Festival.

ok I am calmer now. For some reason denver never seems to be in the original round of announcements, it has happened like three times in years past. Here are some possible theories.
Not sure when the MHMF will be as dates have not been set but it has been rumored that the festival is in August this year so...
Aug 8 MHMF or...
Sept 8th Pepsi center or...really stretching here
Sept 17,18,19 Red Rocks

Why not announce a pepsi center show yet. Well easy, If chuck morris can't find a suitable closer for the MHMF then DMB will probably be it. Still up in the air.

Why not announce red rocks yet, I think that answer is obvious. Red Rocks was announced after the fact last time also. Also Red Rocks does not announce their summer concert series for another month or so.

I was thinking the samething...there is a pretty big gap between series 4 and 5. The MHMF is usually in the middle of the month of july...last year it was july 18th and 19, so maybe red rocks will be announced between series 4 and 5. Also, they will be driving through colorado from KS on the 14th to UT on the 17th, so there is still the possiblity for 15th or the 16th at pepsi center or red rocks.
