Australian Tour April 07.....

Just heard from from a reliable source that DMB are again looking at touring Australia. Anyone else heard the same rumour? I'm thinking another tour on the back of a 'blues and roots' festival in Byron.

I might be studying abroad sometime soon down at Wollongong, Clayton, or Sydney. I've been to Sydney and Cairns and love it.

Dave said he doesn't want to go back to Australia since the "Crocidile Hunter" is dead and that "Crocidile Dundee" is not a real person

I think they would more likely go to Europe this Spring than do Australia again. Having said that there is a larger fanbase in Australia so who knows.

d&t in europe. didn't dave say at one of the england shows that he's coming back soon "with a friend". then after seeing how it goes... coming back with the full band at a later point for a tour.

I hope this is true and am a big fan of DMB trying to become a bigger band abroad. I think having to play to an audience that doesn't already love them will improve their music and live show.

Re: Australian Tour April 07.....

somehow I don't think crocodile hunters are going to decide if DMB tour here again. I suspect that solid record sales and the largest sold out tour they've ever done outside the U.S. would possibly have more impact on their decision....

if and when i get more info on this i'll post it asap.

Re: Australian Tour April 07.....

I was lucky enough to have a friend studying down there a few years back when they played a few shows. I made it to 2 shows... it was amazing to see how small the crowds were and how "new" it all seemed. I think it was great for the band to get back to that level and a great opportunity for fans to make a long vacation and see them in the way we could have only if we saw them 15 years ago...

I'd make the trip again in a minute.:monkey
