wow, what a show if you just saw this, i am dying to find out what this "thing" is, this could be a new favorite show of mine :thumbsup ...discuss

i saw it, has potential. The suspense is really killin' me to find out what the thing is also. The scenes for next episode look much more appealing that the first.

It looks like survivor with a script to me.

I'm not an engineer, maybe Jon can answer this, but I think if a tail comes off a plane, there isn't going to be a group of survivors.

I second the comment about not having survivors if the tail (and the nose) come off the plane in the air.

Anyway, I was into the show until I realized that they crashed inside Jurassic Park and have a T-Rex after them!

I was saying that they crashed in Jurassic Park and were being chased by a T-Rex the whole time, and my girlfriend kept getting pissed at me saying I was ruining the show. I can't wait til a T-Rex fuckin walks out of those woods, I am gonna laugh my ass off. At that very moment, the show will become a comedy.

I was thinking the same thing. During the promos when they said something would be lurking on the island I thought right away a dinosaur of some sort and that it could turn out to be pretty lame. If the show runs for more than a year I bet the creature picks off key characters every season finale.

Yeah, I watched it - it's JJ Abrams' show, who did Felicity and does Alias. So, I should become addicted to this show like the other two. I like the main character guy, who was in Party of Five and the dude from Lord of the Rings and the dude who was Mercutio in Romeo + Juliet and Oz, but.........I dunno.

I can't decide if I'd rather have the "thing" be a dinosaur or an alien. I don't see how this can be a series either. Like, two seasons, maybe.

I really liked the show but i just wish it would be about them surviving on the island not some creature makes it a little to weird for me but oh well! :)

i havent seen it and know nothing aobut it. but if its a creatue like many seem to think, how long can they expect this show to really continue. they are limiting themselves on plot. but then again i guess we dont know what it is thats on the island.

It could be a T-Rex or Predator, but my wife says the "thing" reminds her a lot of me in the morning before my coffee. All growling and knocking over stuff and flinging people into trees.

ok, yes, the tail thing is wrong, coz my dad is a pilot and we were watching it together and he said that there couldnt have been any survivors if that happened. second, i dont know if this thing is a dinosaur t-rex coz the pilot was fully intact, and spit out, just had blood and his face was all fudged up, so i dont know what that thing is. anyway, yes, when i first saw the previews i thouht it was a movie, which i think would have been better, as stated above, as a multi part movie.

it cant be, especially a t-rex, coz that dude would not be intact, let alone in a tree...he would be in the dinosaurs stomach...which is making me even more eager to find out what it is....coz that thing is damn loud too.

Could they not only be lost physically but also "lost" in time? And what sheared the back of the plane off another plane? Maybe its a big experiment? Who knows Im all sorts of confused.

My other guess is that a plane sheared the back of the plane off, they are all in limbo waiting to be judged by the creator. Who knows.

My dad also is like, no, they would not be alive dude. :) He works for American.

Interesting - I think the most interesting speculation I've heard thus far is that there is no monster/alien/dinosaur but that they are just on a twisted reality show. Ha! That was just somebody on the Alias boards talking, not from any place in print or anything.

Yeah, I know, Agent Sean (hybrid of Alias and Felicity character) was toast. But, I'd be pissed if he had a regular role on Lost because then Agent Sean would be toast on Alias. Which I hope he won't be.

Its very interesting to hear all of the theories about what the "thing" is. Most I hadn't thought of, it just makes me more excited to watch it.

I did. Didn't like it as much as the first one but I'm still hooked. I'd like to find out about the polar bear. And why that chick was under arrest. And I'd like to see her standing/bathing herself in the water again.
